Antonio “Tony” Lugo was voted in as the new board member during the September 2009 board meeting. Tony comes to us as a retired USAF First Sergeant. He recently graduated as Suma Cum Laude from Mount Olive College with a degree in Human Resources Management. Tony has extensive computer knowledge and will be heading the center’s Information Systems Program. He replaces Guillermo Ortiz-Caceres who is leaving Goldsboro and moving to Louisiana.

The Hispanic Community Development Center is pleased to announce an exciting art contest for all of Wayne County Public School Students. The art contest is designed to encourage students to learn about, and participate in the Hispanic Culture Month.
